What it is:
The Brattleboro Retreat is a private, non-profit psychiatric and addictions treatment center providing a wide spectrum of care for children, adolescents, and adults. This institution offers a range of services, including inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient treatments. As a dedicated health facility, it integrates comprehensive therapeutic strategies to deliver individualized care to address mental health and addiction issues.
What we did:
At Control Technologies Inc. (CTI), we programmed, commissioned, and maintained a comprehensive control system to ensure a seamless and efficient operation. Our dynamic system maintenance provides an optimally functioning environment, adapting to the retreat's various needs.
At Efficiency Vermont (EVT), we spearheaded flexible load management in the state. We launched a pioneering Proof of Concept integrating ice storage and dynamic load management strategies. This initiative allows the Retreat to balance its energy usage effectively, reducing peak loads and fostering energy efficiency.
At LHB, we provided high-level oversight of campus controls and reprogrammed the ice storage system, enhancing its performance and reliability. We ensured that the system operates at peak efficiency, resulting in significant energy savings for the Retreat. Further, we developed a comprehensive roadmap for the campus, outlining the future trajectory for sustainable practices and upgrades, thereby promising the Retreat's continued commitment to environmental stewardliness.
